Collection of Personal Information

We collect the personal information you submit to us, including, but not limited to, your e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number and other information submitted to us in connection with your interest and/or participation in/at Real World Linux Trade Shows and any other correspondence with us.

We automatically collect general information related to your use of our Site, such as the date and time you visited the Site, the domain name through which you gained access to our Site, and the pages you visited on the Site. In addition, we may collect “cookie” information from your browser to identify your computer and provide us with a record of your visits to our Site. The technology used to gather “cookie” information is provided by the Internet browser you use, and may be turned off by using your browser preference buttons. Cookies contain no executable programs.

Use of Personal Information

Any information that we collect is collected as part of our general practice in order to identify demographic information relative to users who access our site, assessing the number of users accessing various sections of our Site, helping us determine what content is working for us and/or are of interest to our visitors, determining technical design features and specifications and helping us assess systems performance. We also use such information in statistical form to assist us in tailoring our content, navigation and programs to be more useful to visitors.

We also collect and store the information provided and use it only for purposes of responding to you, informing you about upcoming activities, addressing the issues that you may have raised or for purposes related to the reason why the information was provided by you.
Disclosure of Personal Information

We will maintain the strict confidentiality of all personal information collected. We will not sell, transfer or otherwise disclose any of your personal information to any third party without your knowledge and consent.

However, it is agreed that Real World Linux Inc will only disclose your personal information to appropriate parties, that include exhibitors, agents of Real World Linux Inc and for inclusion in our marketing efforts to keep you up to date on our events, newsletters and other correspondence.

It may also be released on a confidential basis to third party distribution organizations on our behalf to keep you informed of our activities and to current and past exhibitors to advise you of their appropriate activities. All content is carefully vetted for relevancy on your behalf.


Although we take every effort to protect your privacy and the security of your personal information, nevertheless, no transmission on the Internet is guaranteed to be absolutely secure and, therefore, Real World Linux Inc does not represent or warrant for the complete security of the information provided to Real World Linux Inc, its agents and/or its service providers through the Site. You understand that you are providing this information to Real World Linux Inc at your own risk.

Privacy Policy Changes

We will update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect any changes in the manner in which we collect, use or disclose your personal information. You agree that Real World Linux Inc may, at its sole discretion, modify the Privacy Policy at any time with or without notice to you. The revised Privacy Policy shall be posted on the Site. You should review the Site on a regular basis for any such changes. You agree that your continued use of the Site after any revised Privacy Policy has been posted on the Site constitutes your consent to be bound by such revised Privacy Policy.

We maintain three lists: 1) All enquiries to our events, 2) all opt-in names of those requesting to receive current and future information on our activities including our newsletter, and 3) all registrants to the current events over the past 24 months.
